VPK Program

The State of Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Program prepares children for a successful  Elementary School Experience, focusing on language and literacy. This program prepares four years old (must be 4 on or before September 1st) for Kindergarten. The Children's First Preschool offers a FREE 3-hour VPK program as well as optional full time services.

How to Register

School-Year VPK Registration is a two-step process.

 Step 1: Visit the Florida on-line registration a registration site to complete an application with scans of the following documentation:

  • a.    proof you reside in Florida (e.g. utility bill, bank statement)
  • b.    proof your child turns 4 years of age by September 1 (e.g. birth certificate, passport) 

Families with eligible children will receive a certificate of eligibility.  Please keep this document in a safe place as you will need it to enroll your child.

  Step 2: Visit our facility with your certificate of eligibility to enroll your 4-year-old in VPK today!
